Welcome to Midway Elementary!  I am proud to be a small part of this magnificent team of educators who work together in continual collaboration for the benefit of all children within the school.  This is my thirtieth year in education; my twenty-second year as an administrator.  I have experience working in the suburban environment, the inner-city environment and in very rural schools.  Educating children has been a lifelong dream for me, and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to live out my dream every day.  I have never lost that passion and cannot imagine that I ever will.  I enjoy reading nonfiction books when time allows, although being with my family is my favorite pastime!  Thank you for entrusting your child(ren) to us and please contact me if I can help you in any way.  Thank you, Gail Stehle

I am so proud to be in Kershaw County School District where my dad and grandparents were born and raised! I am a passionate educator who taught for 21 years. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BAIS in Elementary Education. I have a Masters from AIU in Elementary Ed./Instructional Technology. I also have my ED.S from Capella University in Educational Leadership.

I am all around passionate about Education. I have been Teacher of the Year six times. I have provided staff development to teachers across the state, including presenting at Magnet School Conferences, Stem School Conferences, Avid Conferences, Mastery Connect Conferences, Social Studies State Conferences, and many more. I love spending time with my family and friends. I love to travel, play the piano, sing, write poetry, dance, create custom wedding pieces for individuals, cook, and work in my garden and yard at home.

I am a veteran Junior Beta Club Sponsor and believe that ALL children can learn when given the right support. My mission is to inspire every child to believe that Knowledge Is Power!!!  It is important that children are taught how to be 21st Century learners in a world where they can be successful both socially and academically.
